Language B highlights global awareness and communication skills. Students learning a new language develop connections between previous learning and new speaking/writing skills.

 

Students will build communication skills through reading, speaking, and writing by:

  • experimenting with new and old knowledge with each Area of Interaction.
  • clarifying new inquiries using perceptual data as well as research techniques.
  • developing theories within the context of a variety of texts.
  • writing persuasively to defend a position on a variety of topics.
  • exploring our global connection as presented through written sources.

CHANGES TO LANGUAGE B GRADING....
Per the county, language B is now on quarters, Not semesters like the other subject areas!!
Our grades end every 9 weeks.
Our new grading scale is as follows:
Assessments/Projects 40%
Quizzes/Presentations 30%
Classwork  20%
Final Exam  10%
